# Port Fairy Community Hall

> We've been booking out the hall for birthdays, wakes, yoga classes and everything in between for a long while now. It's run by volunteers and the local committee, so what you pay goes straight back into keeping the place standing.

Based in 22 Sackville Street, Port Fairy.

### Per hour, community rate / standard rate

- **Main Hall** — $30 / $40. Full timber floor and stage, the room most people mean when they say 'the hall'
- **Supper Room** — $18 / $25. Off the main hall, good for catering or a smaller gathering on its own
- **Meeting Room** — $12 / $18. Carpeted, upstairs, seats a committee or a small class

## Licences and memberships

- **Tables and chairs** Trestle tables and stacking chairs, enough for full capacity, set up and pack down is on you
- **Zip** Urn in the kitchen, always on for tea and coffee
- **Dishwasher** Commercial dishwasher in the kitchen, does a load in about three minutes
- **Oven** Full-size gas oven with six burners, good for warming rather than cooking a whole meal
- **PA** Wired microphone and two speakers, no radio mics I'm afraid

## What we treat

- **Bond** $300, refunded within a week if the hall's left as you found it
- **Curfew** Music off by 11pm, hall cleared and locked by midnight

## About

The building's been here since 1938 and the committee's kept it going ever since through hire fees and the odd grant. If you're local, bring proof of address for the community rate. Keys are collected from the caretaker's house next door and there's a lockbox for evening bookings.
